My ex cheated on me & abandoned me for that person. It's been over a year so why does he still contact me?

Uggh, cause guys are pigs. My ex did the same with me, all he wantedthough was a hook up, but he kept pretending he still cared. He told me him and his new girlfriend were done so I called her and told her what was going on and she said they were actually still together, but she can't take anymore of his crap so she dumped him.
