I'm getting a bird but I don't know which one to get?!?

Okay so I have finally convinced my parents to get me a bird. I want a medium sized bird, a little bit bigger that a atiel. I want a bird that is friendly, fun to play with and doesn't squawk a lot. What kind of bird should I get?!
