Why does cold fusion occur?

Did you know 'virtual' is an other word for (a synonym for) 'unreal'. Cold fusion is phenomenal only, it is not concrete material fact, but then 'cold' is not metro-logically specific (quantitative reference). For all I know 'cold' in this context could mean 'fatal to life'.
