My dad injured his shoulder about a month ago.?

It turns out that he has a major rotator cuff tear that is limiting his arm movement substantially. The orthopedic doctor told him that surgery might not be an option if the tendons, tissues in his shoulder were too worn down. He is 63 and very active, loves to golf, and I am worried he will not be able to be as active if repairs are not made surgically. I know there isnt a way to burn fat on specific areas, but what exercise would burn fat at the waist/chest?

I get most of the fat storage in the waist/hips (more of less hips...on the sides) and my chest. Not a whole lot, but if i wait much longer to do something about it people will actually be able to see the fat when i am wearing a shirt. Is a treadmill the best for burning fat, or an elliptical, or stair stepper...i don't know much about weight loss when it comes to exercise...just dieting.

What are some relatively low-cost ideas for dampening background noise for home recordings w/o soundproofing?

I am attempting to record some songs I'd like to try to market, but the background noise is disgustingly present. I've tried noise filters and either they don't work well enough or they work, but the voices you WANT to hear fall victim to digital distortion. I've learned I can quiet the hum of the computer fan pretty effectively by throwing a towel over it (though not for too long - don't want it to overheat). Fur Trading - Only idiots agree with it

wire both the pioneer's in parallel, and the kickers in parallel uming they are D4 as well. each pair will total 1 ohm. a 9104 does it's best at 2 ohms, so from there wire each set in series to bring the total up to 2 ohms. and there you have it. i dont really recommend using all 4 since the amp can't push that much power. its handles about 890 watts. your gonna hook like 1600 on it... the amp will run at it's max the whole time and overheat. i deal with these amps everyday at work.

Royal Canin does have corn, but less than the other two. And it contains better quality meat. Iams and Whiskas (at least here in the US) contain mostly meat by-products - that isn't meat, it's scrap "parts" that have been deemed unfit for human consumption. It's things like beaks, hides, tendons, spleens, intestines - you get the idea. While Royal Canin is more expensive, it's of a higher quality than the other two. I wouldn't call Iams a quality food at all.

What is wrong with my saltwater aquarium?

i have a 30g that has been established for about 3 months, it has liverock and a deep sandbed with good powerheads and a filter for extra flow. about a month ago i started losing fish to some odd white splotchy thing. i brought a fish to the store and he said it wasnt ick(crypt) it was a bacterial infection. so i treated with this revive stuff he gave me as directed and i still lost fish. overall i have lost a lionfish, 4 clowns, a mandarin tang, a blue hippo tang, and a sailfin tang (note they were not all in at the same time THAT would be overstocking) i recently lost the blue tang because i had a blue damsel in there that was doing fine so i put the tang in and removed the damsel then the tang became effected almost immidiately. my nitrates/trites are both below 10, 0 chl , 0 ammonia, salinity is good. if this is bacteria how do i fix it? drain the tank and start new? i dont want to do that bc i have plenty of hermit , snails, a feather duster, and corals. that i would be risking. what is wrong with it. what do i do?

Sure people will try to abuse it. It will be more interesting to see how it is handled. powder blush is good if you are a little bit on the oily side, it wont make you look to shiny. but for somthing really fresh base and healthy go cream blush it looks great and really natural on the skin. thats what i use anyway. i use "Australis blush" creme colour which can also be used on the lips. go something like a pale pink, candy floss in the australis blush would look good on y ou. this would be good for casual events. for more formal events, go somethign like a red with red lipsstick.

So a few weeks ago me and my ex-bff had a horrible experience. i was driving in the car on my way to machusetts, and someone calls my phone. i answer, but it's just giggling so i figure it was a prank call. then she sends me a text saying "did someone just prank call you?". and i said "yeah". so they called a few more times, i ignored it. they called again, and i answered. they said they were my friends crushes. so she shoots me a text saying "it's them! they wanna talk to you, answer." so at first i refuse but then i say "fine". so their like asking all this stuff about her and saying that they don't like her and they like me and all this junk. so i hang up after a few minutes, (i was just kind of saying stuff like, ok, yeah, whatever, idk". so then she sends me a text saying "why did you hang up! and why were you flirting with them? thanks a lot, you just like ruined my life!". and i say "i wasn't FLIRTING!". then she sends me this long text saying "omg. you know what? i don't care if you hurt yourself, or die or anything. you don't understand cutting or anything. (she cuts and has depression) i don't care if i do sh** for you cuz you don't do sh** for me and ur annoying anyways". i totally broke down and told my parents (i'm 12) they were SHOCKED. So ever since, we have kept our distance, but now she's telling her best friend and my ex bf all about it. her parents are oblivious, and probably don't have a clue any of this happened. and she just shot me an email saying "i need to go school shopping soon, don't look at my signature: -*Alica & Gretchen*. alica's her new bff. supposely was for a while. now whenever i even think of her i cry and feel upset. we're in the same cl again next year. great. and i even considered suicide. i'm just so effing sick of her. what's a girl to do?

i use to like my best guy friend of 3 years, but i was almost sure he didn't like me back. I do not understand this. One chromosome is four chromatids, correct? I just do not understand how at the end of telophase one when there appear to be only two chromosomes in each cell (8 chromatids) that the cells could each be haploid, becuase I thought that requires 23 chromosomes???

How can a new arrived to make friends with British people? I just came to the UK, but I speak English (better than a bunch natives I've seen around; you know who) and I have a big curiosity and respect towards the English people. Before getting here, I lived in the US, and it was pretty simple to make friends there: Buy some beer and a lot of hamburger and sausages, season it with spicy and barbeque it on your fence less back yard, and those crazy American neighbors will approach, for sure, without no invitation at all. Why my pointer cursor jumps?

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB1Z0E. The operating system is windows 7 and the processor is Core i5 with 4 GB RAM. Last 2 months i'm having a problem as the mouse cursor jumps drastically after half and hour of the laptop starts. It only happens when i use the pointer. I even disabled all multi gesture options and i don't have any animated theme for the cursor. I tried using a optical mouse and it works fine and never jumped. I bought the laptop last year and i think i still have the manufactures warranty. I also reinstalled the alps software from vaio software support and nothing changed. Using a optical mouse is very painful for me as im not used to it. I need an actual solution guys. No time wasters please. Hope among you there is someone who actually knows what to do. Thnx.

Apparently he has made a game out of this and until it is either not fun or there is something funner to do, he will probably keep doing it. I would get him some new toys that you can leave on the floor for him at night that aren't to noisy, maybe a little stuffed catnip toy or some of those plastic they sell for cats to distract him and keep him from getting bored. Also, most of the time the wand on the blinds is only hanging from a little hook, if it's easy to take off, just take it off before you go to bed and maybe put it on the floor for him to play with. There must be a way that you can tape the strings where he can't reach them also. I am training for a triathlon and recently sprained my fifth metatarsal in my left foot, so my doctor said I can't run for 2 weeks. wow, I'm so sorry. thats terrible. he's right though... once someone gets pancreatic cancer they pretty much ARE as good as dead. Yes he should have said it in a more professional matter, but still, she asked for a realistic answer, and she got one. I don't honestly know much about the legalities of the situation, I think there may be a better section to ask this in, or better yet just ask a lawyer. I am at a loss as to what you could do for her to cheer her up. Just make sure family comes and visits to say their goodbyes and spends time at her bedside, make sure her eternity in heaven is secured, and ask her what you can do for her, or maybe talk to her about what she'd like to do before she dies. I wouldn't expect someone who has just heard that news to be in the best of moods or want to leave the house either, it's understandable. Its not something easy to deal with. Frozen in bed nearly everynight?

This happens id say 5 out of the 7 days in the week. Well in all honesty and I can say this since I am a woman. Alot of women in the world are mean, immoral, or both. I work with women I bumped into foreign women and believe me most of them are bad. I can only say the only good women that I know personally are happily married American women. And they are a minority. These men just haven't figured it out. Divorce is high and international relationships that end bad are increasing.

Yes you can grow herbs in the house if you have a sunny space for them. Some of these grow fairly big and they will really need there own pots. I grow all of my herbs in pots on my deck in the summer time. Most of them do well in 12" to 15" diameter pots. Some other things that grow well are chives, garlic chives, green onions, and I have really taken a liking to lemon thyme.

What to do, almost 30 and boyfriend immature?

My boyfriend is 30 and I'm 29. We dated in high school and he rejected me. His first girlfriend (before me, over 10 yrs ago) cheated on him, and he was jealous in the beginning of our (more recent) relationship. Now I'm the one who's more jealous. I left my last boyfriend because he looked at obsessively. This guy does it too, even though he said he wouldn't. Now I wonder if he wants something else. I'm pregnant, should I report this experience at the hospital?

First of all I'm in Health care so I'm well aware of patient rights, Hippa laws and many other health care laws and procedures. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and was sent to the OB triage for possible preeclampsia. The RN or Tech or whatever she was (she was wearing no badge or anything), improperly put the blood pressure cuff on my arm. She did that by not deflating the cuff. Whenever the machine went off the take my pressure...it would cut into my skin and cause terrible pain to me!!!! Yes...we all know getting your blood taken is not the most comfortable thing but this was WRONG! It actually cut into my skin and bruised me. I told her on two occasions but she ignored me! Not only that but the machine was giving me false readings. I was getting crazy numbers like 200/100 While being well rested?????. I was sent to the triage directly from the doctors office and my pressures was 140/76 at the docs office. Before the worker at the triage took my pressure I was well rested and the first time she took it, it was normal. I'm battling if I should or not but this is ridiculous taking blood pressure is one of the first things you learn in a med course. Plus she did not show any concern.

I've been torturing myself over this girl for over a year?

Here is the story. I'm a sopre in High school. Last year, there was this girl I liked a lot, so I asked her out. She liked someone else, and we didn't know each other well enough, so she said no. A few weeks later, I still kind of had feelings for her, so when she started dating this other guy, I was attacked with feelings of hopelessness, as if I would never get another chance, they would be together forever, etc. After I had asked her out, I had a few extremely awkward encounters with her. One, where somebody put a note in her locker, and signed it my name. She thought I was a pervert, but at the beginning of this school year she realized it wasn't me, and she felt guilty. Then, she started waving at me, and hugging me in the halls. We started talking a lot, and kinda became friends. Feelings for her began to resurface. At this same time, she just got into another relationship. The guy goes to a different school, but he was posting Facebook status's about how much he "loves" her 7 months before they were a couple. I was immediately hit with another sense of hopelessness, and so on. I stopped talking to her, because I don't want to like her if I can't act upon it. As I watched there relationship blossom, and they become closer and closer, I've been hit with a greater sense of these feelings of hopelessness, grief, and so on. Almost like a weight on my chest, which is getting heavier and heavier. I am trying to get over her, but this semester I was transferred into her PE cl, and she was transferred into my english cl, so it has been a challenge with me seeing her everyday. I've tried to move on by completely cutting communication with her, but she now she would start talking to me, which complete destroys that plan. Last year I stopped liking her around this time because of the fact that she completely embarred me, by running away from me, due to her thinking that note was from me. I was immediately turned off. The only thing I can think of doing, is to confront her with these feelings. It would be a complete train wreck, and may break our current relationship. I don't think these feelings are fueled by my attraction to her, may be a small portion. I think a bigger part of it is the feeling that I was cheated out of a relationship, just because I wasn't of the same body type, reputation, etc. What do you think are causing these feelings, and how do I end them?
